Meet Our Founder

Darren Douglas is a thought leader in the business of sports. A former college basketball captain and computer science major, he built a career at the intersection of sports and technology over the last decade.

From kicking off his career with the Venture for America fellowship to pursuing an MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, Darren shared his perspective on business through the lens of an operator, investor, and now entrepreneur.

His Caribbean heritage and passion for sports fueled him to launch BACKCOURT – an avenue to educate and immerse through the universal language of sports.
